Chromabba: The Ultimate AE Plugin for Realistic Chromatic Aberration
⚠️ Currently Mac Only, Windows Support Coming Soon
Introducing Chromabba - A Revolutionary Chromatic Aberration Plugin for Adobe After Effects
Discover the power of Chromabba, a cutting-edge plugin designed to create realistic chromatic aberrations in your After Effects compositions. Developed by a single developer striving for excellence, this plugin offers a true-to-life experience that captures the slight blurring on the edges of each color channel.
Fast GPU Rendering
Not only does Chromabba deliver outstanding results, but it also takes advantage of GPU acceleration for incredibly fast rendering. The innovative technology employed by Chromabba is a new addition to Adobe's SDK, allowing for seamless compatibility with all types of GPUs, including CUDA from Nvidia, Metal from Mac, and OpenCL on other graphics cards.
Easy to Use and Customize
Chromabba is designed to be intuitive and offers a wide range of settings to fine-tune the effect to your liking. Key features include:
- Samples: Control the number of samples used to create the chromatic aberration effect, resulting in a higher-quality image with more samples.
- Strength: Adjust the intensity of chromatic aberrations to create subtle or bold differences between color channels.
- Overlap: Set the degree of color channel overlap, with higher values leading to less differentiation between channels. At 100, you'll see a simple edge blur.
- Edge Attraction Power: Influence the attraction of aberrations to the edges of the image. Smaller values create aberrations closer to the center, while larger values restrict them to the edges. Experiment with odd numbers for unique and interesting effects!
-
(NEW) Border Expansion: Enhance the appearance of your composition's borders by using the Expansion Amount, Expansion Method, and the corresponding settings.
- Expansion Amount: Adjust the number of pixels responsible for expanding the borders, with a range from 0 to 1000. Setting the Expansion Amount to 0 will disable additional border processing, ensuring optimal performance and stability.
- Expansion Method: Choose from three distinct border expansion algorithms - Transparent, Mirror Tile, and Stretched. Transparent adds a clear border, Mirror Tile reflects the existing pixels for a kaleidoscopic effect, and Stretched extends the outermost pixels indefinitely.
- Please note that the Border Expansion feature may sometimes produce unexpected behavior or instability. Use it carefully and consider setting the Expansion Amount to 0 if you encounter any issues or prefer not to use this feature.
Please note that Chromabba is currently available for Mac users only, with Windows support coming soon. I offer a pay-what-you-want pricing model, with a recommended donation of €5.
